アメリカのエクサスケールスパコン計画が GPU 加速器に頼る構成で、C++ と OpenMP のベンダー非依存オープンソースで行けという趣のようです。Nvidia が落札せず AMD 2 機、Intel １機で進めてきた様で、締め切りも迫りニュースにそのシフトの影がチラホラと出ているような気がします。

LAPACK 後継 PLASMA OpenMP 化

Dongarra が Fortran を捨てて造っている LAPACK 後継線形代数ライブラリ PLASAMA のスレッドルーチンが OpenMP 呼び出しになったようです。
